You can no more show me your works apart from your faith
than I can show you my faith apart from my works.
Faith and works, works and faith,
fit together hand in glove.
James 2:18 (The Message)
When we think about faith,
we tend to consider it in terms like
praying, believing and hoping.
To many people, faith is an
ambiguous term that cannot be seen.
While praying, believing, and hoping
are all a part of faith,
there is another aspect that many tend to leave out.
Faith must be accompanied by action.
I know a lot of people who will say things like,
"I'm believing God for a better job."
"I'm trusting God for healing."
"I'm asking God to bring my son or daughter back to Him."
It's good to be praying for these things,
but what really gets God's attention,
and shows how serious you are about
what you are believing Him for,
is when you put action behind your faith.
I know people who are praying for a new job,
but they never go out and look for one;
or they are praying for healing,
but eat a horrible daily diet.
Faith that works is a faith that
prays as if everything depends on God,
then goes out and works as if everything depends on us.
Remember, when we will go out and do the natural,
God will come along side us and add his super to it!
What is one thing you are trusting God for today?
List one action you can do to show your faith concerning it,
and do it... TODAY!
Have a blessed & powerful day!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, I come to You today
releasing every part of my mind, will and emotions to You.
Show me ways that I can demonstrate my faith to You.
Strengthen me to make wise decisions so I can
walk in higher places with You.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
