A Mark of Honor

It is to a man's honor to avoid strife,
but every fool is quick to quarrel.
Proverbs 20:3

I've learned the hard way that it is much easier to start a fight
than it is to end one.
Most of us have found ourselves in this same predicament.
We get offended and upset over something
and before we know it, we are saying things that we shouldn't...
but once we get started, it's really difficult to stop.
Once we begin quarreling and complaining, it's hard to let it go.
That's why the Bible tells us that it is much better to not even start a quarrel.

If you want God to honor you,
if you want to enjoy your life to the fullest,
then always strive to be a peacemaker.
Be the kind of person who goes the extra mile to avoid an unnecessary argument.
Make your home a place of peace.
Choose to be in harmony with your spouse and the people you interact with daily.
Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers."
When we look for ways to make peace, we look for ways to be blessed!
Choose to overcome strife and be a person of honor.

Have a blessed & powerful day!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, today I choose to be a peacemaker.
I choose to wear Your mark of honor and avoid strife in my life.
Use me for Your purposes today as I yield every area of my heart to You.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
