Impossible?

Jesus looked at them and said,
"With man this is impossible,
but with God all things are possible."
Matthew 19:26 (NIV)

Are you facing an impossible situation?
Maybe your marriage looks bleak,
and as you think about this relationship
the idea of it getting any better seems
impossible.
It could be your health.
You've been sick for so long that
your illness has become part of your personality
and the notion of healing sounds impossible.
Or how about your career?
You've had a desire to start your own business
but in the current economic uncertainty
that sounds like a sure recipe for
financial suicide.

Too many times we limit God with our thinking.
God puts a big dream in our hearts...
a dream of a better marriage...
a dream of better health...
a dream of that business venture...
but in our eyes these dreams seem
impossible and too big to accomplish.

God's dreams and His plans are always God-sized.
What He wants to accomplish will seem impossible.
God's desire is to show Himself strong on your behalf.
He wants to supernaturally turn your impossible
situation around.

The important thing for us to do
is to turn our focus from the situation
and turn it to God.
We need to view life through the lens of faith.

Make room in your thinking today for the dreams
God has placed upon your heart.
If life looks hopeless in the natural,
put your confidence in the promises God gave you.
Trust in Him to make all things possible for you.
As you do, you'll begin to see your dreams
come to pass in ways you never imagined.

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, I give my situation to You today
knowing with You all things are possible.
All of my hopes and dreams are in Your hands,
and I will not longer limit You in my thinking.
I choose to see my dreams through your eyes of faith
and to believe they will come to pass.
Thank You for working supernaturally on my behalf.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Be Your Best!

Do you see a man skilled in his work?
He will serve before kings;
he will not serve before obscure men.
Proverbs 22:29

With the unemployment rate higher,
and the economy teetering,
many people have given up
on providing a better life for their families.

God's promises are recession-proof.
He is not limited to what's happening
in Congress or on Wall Street.
In Proverbs, we are told that as
we increase in our sill-level,
the right people will take notice.

This is especially true today.
Have you ever noticed how
too many people take no pride
in their work?
They seem to be stuck in a rut,
going through the motions,
doing the same thing over and over.

God's desire is that His people
live at their absolute best in every area of life.
This means that we should constantly be growing
and sharpening our skills.
We should strive to learn and grow
every single day.
When we stop learning, we stop growing.
When we stop growing, we stop living
and are just merely existing.

How can you stretch yourself today?
What can you do to improve your skills?
"Good enough" is never good enough.
Average can be described as
"the best of the worst" or
"the worst of the best."
Neither of those categories
is where God wants you to be.

Take a step today to grow in your skills.
Take a class,
research online,
or find a mentor.
As you do,
you'll rise higher and higher.
You will stand before leaders and rulers,
and you'll live a life of excellence.

Why is this important?
Let me give you two reasons.
First, as God's people, we should
be our absolute best at everything we do.
The Holy Spirit within us produces excellence
in all areas of life.
Second, as we grow in our skills
and are promoted as this verse implies,
we increase our earning potential.
It's a simple truth: the more we have,
the more we can give.

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, today I choose to rise out of mediocrity.
I choose to give my very best to everything I do.
Teach me to live skillfully so that my life
is a continual praise to you.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Power of Praise

No unbelief or distrust
made him waver (doubtingly question)
concerning the promise of God,
but he grew strong
and was empowered by faith
as he gave praise and glory to God,
Romans 4:20 (AMP)

Sometimes we are tempted to believe
that praise and worship during a church service
is just the "warm up" for the sermon.
I know people who habitually come in late
so they can skip this part of a worship service.
Others will, for some strange reason,
stand out in a church lobby and chat
even after a worship encounter has begun.

If this is your attitude,
let me challenge your to consider the
power of praise.
Praise is the most powerful force at our disposal.
Praise is putting faith into action.
Just as putting your physical body into action
makes it grow stronger,
putting your faith into action
through prayer and praise
will cause you to grow strong as well!

Today's verse tells us
No unbelief made him waver
regarding the promise of God.
Abraham was able to remain
steadfast because he activated
his faith through praise.

To waver means to go back and forth,
like a tree blowing in the wind,
or like a politician who makes decisions
based on polling data rather than
his/her convictions.
Spiritual wavering is when we go
back and forth in believing the
promises of God.

Spiritual wavering shows itself
in our words and actions.
When you speak contrary to God's promises,
you are wavering and unsteady.

This verse does not say
that Abraham never had unbelief
or doubting thoughts.
It says that he didn't waver--
he did not allow his
words or actions
to go against God
no matter what he was thinking.

He took captive every thought
and stood strong through His
praise and worship!
Praise stabilizes us!
It makes us strong.
It's hard to be negative
when you are singing a song
of praise to Him.

Determine today to stand strong in worship.
Put your faith into action with your words
and watch what God will do no your behalf!

Have a blessed & powerful day!

In Jesus' Name, Amen.

What Are You Wearing?

Provide for those who grieve...
a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.
Isaiah 61:3

What are you wearing today?
Not on your physical body,
but what is covering your mind
and emotions?
Are you cloaked in despair
and disappointment?
Are you wearing "heaviness?"

God's desire is to give you new clothes.
He wants to exchange the hurt you are wearing
for His healing.
He wants to remove your turmoil
and clothe you in His peace.
He wants to discard your sadness
and wrap you in His joy.

Are the garments of yesterday
holding you back and weighing you down?
Maybe it's time to exchange that heaviness
for His garment of praise.
Perhaps it's time to release those heavy burdens.
It's time to forgive those who have hurt you
and begin to praise your way to victory!
You can start by thanking God for the
life you have right now.
Thank Him for the opportunities today
has to offer.
Thank Him for the beautiful sunrise.
When you wear that garment of praise,
you will stand strong and display His splendor
all the days of your life!

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, I humbly come to You asking
that You take my old, heavy garments of despair
and heaviness.
Make me new today.
Give me a garment of praise so that I can
be a display of Your glory and splendor.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.

God Cares

You keep track of all my sorrows.
You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book.
Psalm 56:8 (NLT)

I'm sure all of us have wondered
if God really cares about us.
With so many people on the earth,
does God even know who we are.
These thoughts can be especially true
during times of difficulty
when we feel isolated and alone.

Be encouraged today!
You are not alone.
You are very important to God
and He cares about every detail of your life.
In fact what you are going through
is so important to Him that He records
every sorrow and collects every tear
you have ever shed.

Why would God record your sorrows
and collect your tears?
It's because He loves You so much.
He is your Vindicator.
He is keeping an account of every wrong
that's ever been done to you
so that He can make up for every single
one of them.
He wants to restore everything
that has ever been stolen.
He wants to heal every single hurt and pain.
He sees the longings and desires of
your heart, and you can rest assured
that behind the scenes He is working
things out for your good!

God is with you!
He is on your side!
He has your best interest at heart,
and He is working to bring restoration
and peace to every area of your life.

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me and setting me free.
Thank You for being my Vindicator.
I choose to release every hurt, pain and sorrow,
knowing that You will make all things new.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Prisoners of Hope

Return to your fortress,
O prisoners of hope;
even now I announce that
I will restore twice as much to you.
Zechariah 9:12

God's desire is to fulfill every promise
He has made to you.
He is not a promise breaker.
Life hurls difficult challenges our way.
At times, we are tempted to believe
that our lives will never get better.
During hard times it is easy to succumb
to the notion that our lot in life
is to be on the bottom,
wallowing in disappointment.

But God says that He wants
to restore to you twice as much
as what's been stolen from you!
In order for this to happen,
you must do your part and stay
filled with hope.

Remaining hope-filled means
that no matter how long you've been
in your negative circumstance,
no matter how many setbacks you've
had to deal with,
you still get up each day with an attitude
that this could be the day that God
turns it all around!

The Bible teaches us that
the Name of the Lord is a strong tower.
When you put your trust and hope in Him,
you are in a fortress of strength.
Nothing can steal your joy,
peace, or enthusiasm.
You are positioned for victory!
You are positioned for power!
And you are positioned to receive
every promise God has made to you!

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness.
Thank You for Your promise to restore every area of my life.
I choose to be a prisoner of hope,
trusting Your name alone.
I bless You today and always.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.

In an Instant

And in an instant, suddenly,
You shall be visited and delivered
by the Lord of hosts...
Isaiah 29:5-6 (AMP)

The Bible is filled with examples
of how God suddenly showed Himself
strong on behalf of His people.

When we struggle in an area
for a long time, it's easy to just
give up and accept things they way they are.
One of the enemy's favorite lies is to tell us
that nothing is ever going to change.
He'll whisper in your mind that
you're never going to get well,
that your marriage isn't going to work out,
that you're never going to break
that addiction.

The truth is, it doesn't matter
how long you've been in those
circumstances,
God can change things in an instant!
In a split second of time
He can turn it all around.
One touch from Almighty God can
instantly change your life!

Let me encourage you today
to keep believing and standing strong.
Resist the enemy's attempts to drag you down
because God is working behind the scenes.
Your deliverance is coming,
and your breakthrough is going to happen
suddenly!

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, I choose to trust that You
are working things out for my good.
I choose to stand in faith,
believing that my season of breakthrough
is coming. Give me Your strength and
peace as I patiently wait on You.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Growing Stronger

He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Isaiah 40:29

Perhaps you are familiar with the story of Joseph.
His story if found in Genesis, and there we learn
that he endured seasons of difficulty.
Joseph was rejected by his family,
sold into slavery,
lied about and mistreated,
abandoned,
falsely accused,
and thrown into jail.
(And sometimes we are tempted to think
that life is tough on us!)

Through it all, God never stopped working
on Joseph's behalf.
Joseph, himself, never gave up either.
He kept doing the right thing
even when the wrong thing happened.
Through his hardships,
God developed a supernatural strength
in him that no one could steal.

If you are going through difficulty today,
God wants to increase your strength.
He wants to increase your power to overcome.
He wants to make your inner man as strong as steel.

Strengthening the inner man
is much like strengthening your body.
In order to grow stronger physically,
you must push yourself.
You've got to lift more weight than you want to lift.
You've got to workout out an intensity level
that at the time is uncomfortable.

Likewise, spiritual strength
is forged in the fires of pushing
through difficult times.
It is when we hang in there,
don't give up,
and endure
that we experience God's strength.

When you keep standing,
keep believing,
keep doing the right thing,
you are opening yourself
to God's supernatural strength.
That's when you know you are growing in Him.

Be strong today!
Keep pressing forward
because God is at work
increasing strength in you
so that you can live in victory
in every area of your life!

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, today I surrender every difficulty to You.
I release the questions, hurts, and frustrations.
I choose to trust You and do the right thing.
Increase Your strength in me so I can
live the victory You have in store for me.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Facing Adversity

Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
Habakkuk 3:17-18

Challenges and difficulties hit all of us.
God doesn't send these storms,
but He does allow us to go through certain things
in order to shape our character and prove our faith.
It is during these times of difficulty
that we can grow and develop.

God's desire is to use these tough times
to do a work in us.
He wants to strengthen and develop us.
Our attitude in times of adversity is the evidence
of our maturity.
How do we respond when people mistreat us?
Will we stay full of joy even when the bottom falls out?
Are we faithful, even during dry seasons,
when we don't see anything happening?

It takes effort to have the right attitude
during times of adversity,
but remember this:
your attitude is the key to your promotion.
As you maintain a positive attitude
of faith and expectancy,
even in times of adversity,
God will deliver you and move you forward!
Tough times never last...
people with a tough faith do!

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father,
I want to grow spiritually and be more like You.
I choose to trust You in times of adversity,
knowing that You are working things out for my good.
Renew a right attitude within me by Your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
