You and God Are a Majority

What, then, shall we say in response to this?
If God is for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:31

How do you respond when difficulties arise in your life?
Many people tend to feel overwhelmed, unequipped or outnumbered.
These folks shrink back from the difficult situation,
they look for an easy way out or a place to hide.

But running from problems is not God's best for us.
He never intended for us to be overcome by our challengers.
His desire is that we become the overcomers!

Whatever difficulties you may be facing,
it is time to dig in your heels, stand strong
and show the enemy what you're made of!
Remind yourself that you are not alone in the fight;
GOD IS WITH YOU!!!
He has promised to never leave you nor forsake you.
The Bible states it best:
"If God is for you who can be against you?"

Here is the truth:
You and God are a majority!
There is no weapon, no enemy, no challenge, no disease, no failure,
there's nothing that can overtake you when God is on your side!

Be encouraged today!
Choose an attitude of faith and victory.
Continuously declare God's promises over your life.
Be bold and stand strong because God promises
that He has victory in store for the upright.
As you stand with an attitude of faith,
you will rise above your difficulties and walk in the freedom
God has prepared for you!

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness to me.
Thank You for equipping me and filling me with Your joy, strength, and boldness.
I choose to trust You, to stand on Your Word and to look for the victory You have
in store for me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Stand Firm

You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions;
stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem.
Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.
2 Chronicles 20:17

Our tendency is to avoid difficulties at all costs.
When the going gets tough, many of us get going... in the opposite direction!
Too many of us run from anything that is hard.
We run from our problems.
We run from responsibility.
We run from people we don't like.
We run from our past.
We run from anything that makes us uncomfortable.

Instead of facing the issues of this life and dealing with them,
we just take the easy way out and ride down the path of least resistance.
HOWEVER...
If you are going to experience the victory that God intends for you to have
you must learn to face your challenges head on.

Today's Scripture does not say,
"Keep running until you see the salvation of the Lord."
Neither does it say,
"Bury your head in the sand until God delivers you."
Understand this:
God wants us to stand strong,
to set our faces like a flint and fight the good fight of faith.

Here is the good news about this:
you don't have to do it in your own strength!
God has already equipped you with His supernatural power to overcome every obstacle!

Decide today to stand strong and face your life's challenges.
Be bold and courageous!
Dare to be a conqueror!
As you stand in faith,
you will see the deliverance of Almighty God in every area of your life!

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, search my heart.
Show me any area of my life where I may be running and hiding.
I choose today to stand in faith.
I invite You to move mightily on my behalf.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

God's Appointed Time

The vision will still happen at the appointed time.
It hurries toward its goal.
It won’t be a lie. If it’s delayed, wait for it.
It will certainly happen. It won’t be late.
Habakkuk 2:3 (GWT)

It's important for us to trust God's timing.
God is on the look out for people who have a made-up mindset;
people who will trust His timing.
Just because we don't see His promises happen overnight
doesn't mean they aren't on the way.

In the Bible, Abraham waited 20 years to have a son and see his promise become a reality.
Moses waited 40 years to fulfill his purpose and lead the children of Israel out of captivity.

When we don't see God's plan unfolding, we are tempted to throw up our hands and say,
"I've been waiting for a year and don't see anything happening."
The truth is that something is happening.
Right now, God is working behind the scenes in your life.
He is arranging the right people, the right breaks, the right opportunities.

Today's verse reminds us that at God's appointed time His promise will become a reality
and it will not be one second late!
When is the appointed time?
It is when God knows the timing is best for you.
When you understand and accept this principle,
it takes away the pressure that you may be living under.
God wants you to live in freedom,
knowing that as long as you stand in faith
that He is at work, releasing His favor, His restoration, and His healing
at EXACTLY the right time in your life!

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, thank You for working behind the scenes in my life.
I trust that the appointed time for me is on its way.
I am content in You, knowing that You have a good plan for my future.
I bless You today and always.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

Faith and Patience

We do not want you to become lazy,
but to imitate those who through faith and patience
inherit what has been promised.
Hebrews 6:12

When we sense in our spirit that God has promised us something,
we often feel like if that promise is not fulfilled quickly that it will never come to pass.
Sometimes we come to the conclusion that we did not hear from the Lord after all,
and sadly, at other times, we may decide that God doesn't keep His promises.

In the Bible, David was 17 years old when the prophet Samuel anointed him to be king.
He did not assume the throne until he was 30.
Odds are that during those 13 years there were many times when David was tempted
to think that he would never really be king.
He was probably tempted to get frustrated or even to feel like a failure,
thinking to himself, "God, did I really hear from You?
I thought You said You were going to do something great with my life,
but nothing is going my way."
Although David had been faithful, there were no signs that this promise was going to really happen.

Just like us today, David had to fight the same negative thoughts that bombard our minds;
thoughts that were saying to him,
"It's not going to happen."
"You did not hear from God."
"Just accept it and get on with your life."
David's greatest battles took place in his mind,

During these kinds of times, when it seems like you aren't getting any closer
to seeing your dream come to pass,
remember this:
the Scripture tells us that through faith and patience we inherit the promises of God.

Have a blessed & powerful day,
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, I humbly come to You, believing that You are working on my behalf.
I trust that Your Word is true and believe that through faith and patience,
I will see Your promises come to pass in my life.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

The Author & Perfecter

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,
let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles,
and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
2Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith,
who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame,
and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:1-2

Are you facing major obstacles in your path to fulfilling God's purpose for your life?
Sometimes the obstacles we face are so huge that we begin to feel like
there is no way that our dreams can come to pass.
In fact, you may wake up every morning to negative thoughts like,
"It's over."
"Just accept it."
"It's never going to get any better."

Be encouraged!
God is a faithful God!
He is the Author and Perfecter of our faith.
God will never start something that He cannot finish.
The promise that He has put in your heart--
that you're going to be healed,
that you're coming out of debt,
that your family will be restored--
God has every intention of bringing those promises to pass!

When God put the dream in your heart,
He already had a completion date.
He can already see it done.
You may not see how it can happen.
It may be taking a lot longer than you had anticipated.
All the odds may be against you.
But if you'll just keep believing, keep praying, and keep being your best,
then God promises He is going to finish what He started in you!

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being the Author and Perfecter of my faith.
I choose to submit every area of my mind, will, and emotions to You.
I invite You to have Your way in me and complete what You've started in my life.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

The Sacrifice of Praise

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God
a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name.
Hebrews 13:15

Throughout the Scriptures, we are told that there are many ways to praise and worship God.
But what does it mean to offer a sacrifice of praise?
Bringing to God a sacrifice of praise means that we acknowledge Him above our circumstances.
It means living our lives in such a way that we honor and glorify Him no matter what is going on around us.
We rejoice in all things.

Here's an example:
suppose someone offends you and you feel like giving them a piece of your mind,
but instead you just smile.
Do you know what you just did?
By your actions you were saying,
"I am living at a higher level. I am acknowledging God in every circumstance."
On the highway, when somebody cuts you off and you are just about to let them know what you think,
but instead you look over and smile, that's giving a sacrifice of praise.

Bear in mind that God promises to dwell among the praises of His people.
When you constantly and continually offer up praise,
you are inviting God's presence and power into every area of your life!

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, I choose to praise and glorify You in all circumstances.
Help me, by Your Spirit, to be a light and example to the world around me.
Thank You for working in my heart.
I bless You today and always.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

Hope Beyond Reason

Even when there was no reason for hope,
Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations.
For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!”
Romans 4:18 (NLT)

Are you facing a situation that seems hopeless?
Is there something that you are trusting God for--a promise you are claiming--
and it doesn't seem like it's ever going to really happen?

Abraham was in the same predicament.
God had promised Abraham that we would be the father of many nations.
The only problem was that both Abraham and his wife, Sarah, were well beyond child-bearing years.
Abraham didn't have any natural reason to hope.
There was not way, in his way of thinking, for God's promise to happen.
But notice what the Scripture says about this:
Even when there was no reason for hope,
Abraham kept on hoping.
He chose to have an attitude of faith and expectancy,
and God was faithful to Abraham and fulfilled His promise!

What is it that you are going through today?
No matter how hopeless your situation appears to be,
put your hope in God!
He promises to never forsake you.
He alone is the one, true and faithful God!
When you hope beyond reason, you will see His promises fulfilled in every area of your life!

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life.
I trust that Your promises are true.
I choose to put my hope in You no matter what my circumstances may look like.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

Rejoice in the LORD, you who are righteous,
and praise his holy name.
Psalm 97:12

Throughout the Scriptures we are told to rejoice in the Lord at all times.
The word "rejoice" means more than just being vocal and giving God praise with our words.
This powerful word also means "to brighten up,"
"to spin around,"
and
"to leap for joy."
We don't just rejoice with our words...
we also rejoice with our actions!
We rejoice with our countenance and how we interact with other people.
You can rejoice by simply choosing to smile!

When times are tough and things aren't going as planned,
many people show their discontent with a long, sour face.
They are down, discouraged, worried and upset.

However,
when we choose to rejoice,
we carry a smile and have a pleasant demeanor no matter what.
We don't always smile because we feel like it.
We do so by faith.
Your pleasant countenance is one way of stating to the world around you,
"God, I'm trusting You. I know You are working all things out for my good."

Let's make a conscious effort today and every day to rejoice in the Lord!
Put a smile on your face and let the whole world know your hope is in Him!

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, I choose to rejoice in You.
I know that Your goodness goes way beyond my difficulty.
I know that even when I don't see a way, You are making a way for me.
Fill me with Your supernatural peace and joy as I surrender every area of my life to You.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

Reverse and Restore

Give praise and thanks to the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good;
for His mercy and kindness and steadfast love endure forever!
For I will cause the captivity of the land to be reversed
and return to be as it was at first, says the Lord.
Jeremiah 33:11 (AMP)

Perhaps you are going through a difficult situation in your life.
In the Bible, God promises that when we develop the voice of gladness,
count it all joy, and offer up the sacrifice of praise,
then He will cause captivity to be reversed and whatever has been stolen shall be restored.

God can reverse and restore!
No matter what is going on around you,
when you remain full of joy and praise,
God is going to turn things around in your favor.
He is going to reverse negative situations.
He's going to restore things you thought were lost for good!
But notice it doesn't happen by complaining or being negative or sour.
It happens when you have the voice of gladness!

How do you develop the voice of gladness?
Begin every morning with a song in your heart!
Go out each day with a smile on your face!
Things may not always go your way,
but don't get discouraged.
Shake it off and count it all joy.

When you live with this attitude,
GET READY...
God is going to reverse and restore every area of your life!

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, I come to you today giving you all that I am.
I choose to praise you no matter what is going on.
Fill my heart with joy and help me see the bright future You have in store for me.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

Remember Your Victories

But I thank God, who always leads us in victory because of Christ.
2 Corinthians 2:14 (GWT)

Memory is an awesome gift that God has given us.
Interestingly, most people tend to spend more time remembering
their failures and hurts than their victories.

In the Old Testament, it was common for people to lay out 'memorial stones.'
These stones were used to remind the people about the good things God did in their lives.
We need to remind ourselves today to focus on our victories.
We have all suffered our share of setbacks,
but when we meditate on our disappointments and failures,
all this does is sap us of valuable energy.
Dwelling on the negative robs us of confidence and joy.
When we focus on our victories,
we build our strength and confidence.
Remembering past victories fuels our faith.
It gives us a reason to praise God
and praise catches God's attention!
He inhabits the praises of His people,
and when God shows up, all of His enemies must flee!

When you think about your past,
what events do you remember?
What memories do you allow to play over and over in your mind?
Make it your practice to remember your victories.
Meditate on the good things God has done for you.
As you do this, you'll see Him opening up
supernatural doors for you to move forward
in the abundant life He has for you!

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life.
Today, I am letting go of every hurt from the past
and am choosing to focus on my victories.
I bless and praise You today for showing Your goodness to me.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
