...despite all these things,
overwhelming victory is ours
through Christ, who loved us.
Romans 8:37 (NLT)

The past can be paralyzing.
If we are not careful, we can allow
post struggles, hurts, and failures
become the focus of our present day lives.

When we get caught up in how
unfair our situation is,
our present possibilities lie
dormant and unfulfilled.

We must realize
that in order for a new door to open,
we must allow the old ones to close behind us.
Perhaps you got off to a rough start in life.
You may have had more than your share
of setbacks and let downs.
Be encouraged today:
it's not how you start
but how you finish that counts.

Your future is not determined by your past.
But holding on to the past will keep you
from moving into your future.
God has already given you victory through Christ.
His desire is for you to take hold of the dreams
He has given you.
As we release the past to Him,
and move ahead by faith,
He will see to it that His dream
that He has placed within us
comes to pass.

Every one of us can go beyond
where we are today.
None of us have yet to realize
our full potential in Christ.
Our best days are not behind us,
they are in front of us.

Let's shake off past discouragements
and take a step toward our future.
Choose today to stop looking back
and fix your eyes forward
on the new beginning God has for you.

Have a blessed & powerful day!
Kendall

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, today I choose to let go of the things in my past.
I realize that despite of my past, I have the victory through Christ.
I ask you to show me any dreams that are lying dormant,
and bring them back to life in new ways.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
