God Is Knocking

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock.
If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,
I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
Revelation 3:20

We view the trials of life as God's punishment.
Instead, we need to look at them as God knocking on the door of our hearts.

When tough times come our way,
God knocks on our door, like a good neighbor,
and says, "Let me help you."

Odds are that each of us will face some kind of struggle today.
It may be major... it may be relatively minor.
Instead of throwing up your hands and muttering something under your breath,
take a moment and listen.
You'll hear God knocking on your door.
At that moment, your trial becomes an opportunity.

To pray is to let God into our lives.
He knocks and seeks admittance,
not only in the solemn hours of secret prayer.
He knocks in the midst of your daily work,
your daily struggles,
your daily grind.
That is when you need Him most.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being my ever-present refuge
during the storms of life. Today, should things not go my way,
give me the wisdom and strength to find the opportunity
to glorify You by asking for Your help.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
